Nagorno-Karabakh's status is key in conflict resolution context- Pashinyan

YEREVAN, June 10. /ARKA/. Armenia is interested in unblocking all transport links in the region, and all the roads that will reopen will operate under the sovereignty of the countries through which they pass, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with foreign ministers of CSTO member states today in Yerevan.

Pashinyan stressed that the common understanding is that there can be no "extraterritorial corridors" for any side, the government's press service reported.

Pashinyan also touched upon the activities of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation and security comission, the opening of regional communications, the return of Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and other civilians held in Azerbaijan. In this context, he stressed the importance of support from the international community.

Regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Nikol Pashinyan said the key issue is its status, stressing that the conflict should be settled in a peaceful way and within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.

Pashinyan also said that the invasion of Azerbaijani troops into Armenia's sovereign territory in May 2021 is still an open issue. He said Armenia has asked the CSTO to help resolve this problem. -0-
