'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' & 'Dark Shadows' Writer Seth Grahame-Smith To Direct 'The Flash'

If Marvel started the arms race of getting quirky people to direct their superhero movies by hiring Taika Waititi to helm "Thor: Ragnarok," DC is following right behind. Today, word has arrived about who will get behind the camera for "The Flash," and it's an unexpected choice.

THR reports that Seth Grahame-Smith will helm and write the Ezra Miller starring movie for Warner Bros. The author has quickly made a strong imprint in Hollywood, writing the screenplay for the adaptation of his book, "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," and becoming pals with Tim Burton, writing the wretched "Dark Shadows," and the developing "Beetlejuice 2." Not only that, next year the long brewing adaptation of Grahame-Smith's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" hits the big screen, plus he's penning the "Lego Batman" flick.
