It's a pretty great month to be a Paul Thomas Anderson fan. This week, his surprise documentary "Junun," featuring Radiohead maestro Jonny Greenwood, premieres at the New York Film Festival and will premiere on Mubi shortly thereafter. And now you'll be able to see another new project by the filmmaker on a big screen near you.
Having already knocked out the terrific video for Joanna Newsom's "Sapokanikan," Anderson has directed "Divers," the title track from the musician's forthcoming album — and it's hitting cinemas. The song itself is just a shade over seven minutes long, and the video was shot in New York City at the studio of Kim Keever, with Newsom finding herself in the landscapes of the artist's work, which features on the cover of Divers.
