Bulgaria Lagging Behind in Education - WEF
Bulgaria needs to invest into education, a knowledge-based industry, and talent development, a representative of the World Economic Forum (WEF) has said.
Citing the recent global competitiveness ranking which placed Bulgaria 54th, Caroline Galvan, Senior Manager at Global Competitiveness and Benchmarking Network at the World Economic Forum (WEF), warned that good education was somewhere Bulgaria performed even worse, ranking 64th - much lower than other EU economies.
Economic growth is slower than pre-crisis rates, and unemployment is higher all across the EU, and the union should put in more effort into bringing all member states to similar levels, Galvan told the Bulgarian National Radio in an interview aired Saturday.
