Hodgson admits task ahead as England look to complete perfect 10 in Lithuania

Roy Hodgson is well aware that his England team have a very tricky test ahead of them this week.

The Three Lions take on Lithuania in Euro2016 qualifying in Vilnius on Monday night as they attempt to go through the campaign with a 100% winning record from their 10 matches.

England will take on the Lithuanians on an artificial pitch that they are not used to performing on but Hodgson feels they can overcome the surface and put in a display worthy of a 10th straight victory.

"We're very conscious of the fact we could have a perfect record if we win the game but we also know it's not a given we'll win the game," he said.

"We're playing a team that also wants to win and are adept at playing on the surface we'll be playing on Monday evening.

"It's a task ahead of us but we're ready for it, I think, and we're going to do our level best to try and achieve it."
