Angus Deaton Wins 2015 Nobel Prize In Economic Sciences

Angus Deaton has won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for his analysis of consumption, poverty and welfare.

Sveriges Riksbank, Sweden's central bank, established the prize in 1968 to honor the memory of Alfred Nobel. Since then, the prize has been awarded to 75 laureates. Only one -- Elinor Ostrom -- has been a woman.

Last year, French economist Jean Tirole won the award for his research on market power and regulation.

This is a developing story. More to come...
