Pashik Alaverdyan: The weightlifters performed wonderfully in the EC

Junior European Weightlifting Championship recently finished in Klaipeda, Lithuania. 7 of Armenian weightlifters have medals in under 20 and 23 age category.

Armenian weightlifting national team’s head coach said in an interview with Mediamax Sport that he is very happy with the participation.

“Our weightlifters had great results, well done. I’m thankful to their trainers who had done a precise and good job”, Alaverdyan stated.

Only 3 athletes of 10 didn’t manage to get medals in the championship, but they are very young and this was their first major tournament. “It was a brilliant chance for the guys to get experience. I am expecting medals from them in the upcoming tournaments”.
