Armenian minister calls on German companies to participate in local infrastructure projects

During a meeting with German ambassador to Armenia, Matthias Kiesler today, Armenia’s minister of economy Karen Chshmarityan called on German companies to participate in large infrastructure projectsю

YEREVAN, October 21. / ARKA /. During a meeting with German ambassador to Armenia, Matthias Kiesler today, Armenia’s minister of economy Karen Chshmarityan called on German companies to participate in large infrastructure projects –such as the construction of Armenia-Iran railway, the North-South transport corridor and energy projects.

Chshmarityan said Armenia and Germany enjoy good relationships, and the German government has always assisted Armenia in the implementation of various projects. Chshmarityan said the countries could organize various business forums, which contribute to the development of cooperation between Armenia and Germany.

In turn, Kiesler asked for information about the Armenian-EU negotiations on a new framework agreement.  Chshmarityan said Armenia intends to deepen cooperation with the EU, taking into account its commitments to the Eurasian Economic Union and World Trade Organization.-0-
