Man held for wife’s stabbing death
A Durban man has been arrested for fatally assaulting and stabbing his wife, police said.
|||Durban – A Durban man has been arrested for fatally assaulting and stabbing his wife, police said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Major Thulani Zwane said that the man’s 31-year-old wife went to visit her sister in Phoenix on Tuesday.
While there, the man arrived and asked to speak to her outside the house, whereupon he started assaulting before taking out a small knife and stabbing her in the face and the back.
He then fled leaving her to bleed to death.
Zwane said police in Phoenix arrested the man shortly afterwards and charged him with murder.
He is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate’s court soon.
