|||Manila - A Chinese woman shot and wounded China's consul general to the Philippine city of Cebu and killed two staff while they were eating in a restaurant on Wednesday, a police spokesman said.
Song Ronghua was rushed to a hospital for treatment, Chief Superintendent Prudencio Banas said, adding the woman was arrested.
“We're still trying to determine the motive for the shooting,” Banas said, adding the victims and the attacker were dining at the time of the shooting.
“We have the suspect, a Chinese woman, but we would need translators to interview her on what really happened.”
The foreign ministry and China's embassy in Manila declined to comment and were trying to gather more details about the incident.
