18 hurt in KZN taxi crash

Durban - Eighteen commuters suffered “minor to moderate” injuries when the minibus taxi they were travelling in overturned on the N2, near Umgeni Road, Durban, on Friday evening, KwaZulu-Natal paramedics said.

“It’s unclear what caused the incident and Crisis Medical paramedics, along with other emergency services, treated and stabilised the injured on scene before transporting them by ambulance to various nearby hospitals for further care,” Crisis Medical spokesman Kyle van Reenen said.

The local authorities were on scene and would investigate the incident.
