Blue was walking with his elderly owner when he found a plastic bag of heart-shaped pills and started eating them.
Before long, the 17-month-old began foaming at the mouth.
He was taken to the PDSA Pet Hospital in Bradford in a critical condition but, after treatment for organ failure, has now made a full recovery.
