Tashir Group of Companies president calls on authorities and opposition to refrain from escalation of tension

YEREVAN, 13 June. /ARKA/. The President of Russia-based Tashir Group of Companies Samvel Karapetyan called on Armenian authorities and the anti-government protesters to refrain from escalation of tension following June 12 clashes between riot police and protesters in downtown Yerevan, who demand the resignation of PM Pashinyan./pp

In light of the situation in Yerevan, I urge all parties to refrain from any form of rhetoric or actions that may lead to human casualties, Karapetyan says in a statement./pp

He says that with the current political crisis in the country, it is important to act responsibly, show respect for each other, strive for dialogue and peaceful resolution of the situation./pp

I believe that with collective efforts it is possible to overcome this challenge and ensure security, stability for all citizens of the country without dividing them on any grounds. This is the most important priority. Today one often hears the contrast between Armenians of Armenia and Armenians of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The Armenian nation is united, and we experience all the events in our common homeland together. Any division in the current situation is dangerous, Karapetyan noted./pp
