Pashinyan announces start of construction of Kajaran-Agarak section of North-South Motorway

YEREVAN, 17 June. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the start of construction of the Kajaran-Agarak section of the North-South transport corridor during his Sunday visit to Armenia's Syunik region./pp
During the visit, the Prime Minister was told, in particular, about the pace of repairing the 4-km section stretching from Syunik village to the town of Kapan. The project worth 1.4 billion drams is financed by the government./pp
The North-South transport corridor, which runs through the territory of Armenia along the Meghri-Kapan-Goris-Yerevan-Ashtarak-Gyumri-Bavra route, adjoins the Georgian road from the south to the ports of Poti and Batumi (on the Black Sea) and further to Russia, CIS and EU countries. The integrated project is expected to improve the Europe-Caucasus-Asia road link on the West Asia-East Europe section./pp
