Armenian Foreign Minister will not take part in the CSTO Ministerial Council meeting in Almaty

YEREVAN, 19 June. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will not participate in the session of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers to be held on 21 June in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Armenian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ani Badalyan told Armenpress agency.nbsp;/pp

The foreign ministers of the CSTO member states will discuss international developments, the situation in the region, mechanisms for strengthening coordination in the sphere of foreign policy, as well as sum up the results of multifaceted cooperation within the organisation./pp

The Council will approve a number of draft decisions, which will be submitted for approval during the regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council to be held on 28 November this year./pp/pp

In February 2024, Armenia announced the freezing of its membership in the CSTO and later also refused to pay membership fees to the organisation./pp

On 12 June, speaking at the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan did not rule out that Armenia would withdraw from the CSTO in the future. -0-/pp nbsp;/p
