In particular, the church of Kirants village in Tavush region of Armenia was built in the XIX century from local rough-hewn stone and is a voluminous Armenian temple-basilica.

During Soviet times the church was turned into a warehouse. The church with a central dome of Surb Astavatsatsatsin in the village of Voskepar in Tavush region was built in the 7th century according to the canons of Armenian early medieval church architecture (St. Hovhannes Mastari, St. Grigor Arichavank, St. Gevorg Artika, Karsi Arakelots). It was extensively renovated in 1975-1977, but the roof and other structures were damaged due to rains. They will be restored with public funds.
