Armenia opens honorary consulate in Italy’s Bari

YEREVAN, July 17. /ARKA/. Armenia opened an honorary consulate in the Italian city of Bari, the country’s embassy in Italy announced on Facebook on Monday.

“This new consular office represents an important step aimed at strengthening the historic friendly relations and the centuries-old cultural, economic and diplomatic ties between Armenia and the Puglia region,” the statement said.

The Consular Office which will be located in Corso Vittorio Emanuele 30 in Bari, will be a point of reference for Armenian citizens and for those who wish to deepen collaboration between Puglia and Armenia.

“The Honorary Consul Dario Rupen Timurian will be the contact person for the protection of Armenian citizens in Puglia and for initiatives aimed at promoting and strengthening scientific, cultural, educational, economic and commercial cooperation,” the statement stressed.
