Pulis: Tottenham interest was responsible for West Brom's Berahino loss of form
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis blamed Saido Berahino's failed move to Tottenham for his poor form this season.
Albion chairman Jeremy Peace accused Tottenham of unsettling Berahino and the forward threatened he would never play for West Brom again.
Spurs face West Brom tomorrow for the first time since they failed to sign Berahino and Pulis said: "Saido has not been as influential as he was last year.
"He needs to get back to his best and West Brom is the best place for him. For six months we have had Saido not playing anywhere near as good as he was before.
"I am not blaming Saido. It is not his fault. He is an outstanding player but we have not had him at the same level as before all this happened."
