YEREVAN, 23 July. /ARKA/. The Inspectorate for Urban Planning, Technical and Fire Safety of the Armenian Government has closed a liquefied gas filing station and dismantled an oil and gas storage facility belonging to ‘Mega Trade’ LLC.

The sion was made following the results of a fire and technical inspection conducted on 12 June 2024 at the filling station of this company operating on Sevan Street in Yerevan, which was filling cars with compressed and liquefied gas.

The inspection revealed a number of violations of fire safety rules both at the gas-filling station and in the storage of liquefied gas and oil products.

Taking into account the degree of danger, the supervisory authority decided to completely shut down the station until the identified violations were eliminated.

As a result of co-operation between the regulator and law enforcement agencies, the station was shut down. The inspection body also demanded that the oil product storage tanks be dismantled as soon as possible, which was done.

According to the Hetq Association of Investigative Journalists, the founders of Mega Trade include the family of businessman and pro-government MP Khachatur Sukiasyan.-0-
