YEREVAN, 29 July. /ARKA/. Armenia plans to open a permanent diplomatic mission in Cyprus, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.

‘We have excellent relations with Cyprus and we can undoubtedly state that our cooperation in various areas has already reached the level of strategic partnership,’ Mirzoyan said at the annual conference of the diplomatic missions of Cyprus on Monday.

He said he had agreed with his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos to further boost the countries' co-operation.

‘We believe that the opening of Armenia's permanent diplomatic mission in Cyprus will provide new opportunities for expanding the framework of cooperation,’ the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service quoted Mirzoyan as saying.

The Armenian Foreign Minister presented Armenia's foreign policy priorities, steps towards their implementation, democratic reforms, cooperation with international partners.

Mirzoyan also pointed out the current regional challenges and the processes of normalization of relations with the neighbours, including the efforts towards the finalization and conclusion of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; -0-
