YEREVAN, 6 August. /ARKA/. Olympic medalist, multiple world and European Greco-Roman wrestling champion Artur Aleksanyan (97 kg) defeated Uzbekistan’s Rustam Asakalov in 1/4 finals with the score 9:5 and entered the semifinals of the Olympic Games./pp

World and European Greco-Roman champion Malkhas Amoyan (77kg) defeated Iran's Amin Kavianinejad 3-0 in the quarter-finals and also reached the semi-finals of the Olympic Games./pp

Earlier on Tuesday, both Armenian wrestlers also scored resounding victories over their opponents in the 1/8 finals. Aleksanyan defeated South Korea's Kim Seung-Joon 9-0, while Amoyan defeated Finland's Jonny Kunari Sarkinen./pp
