YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. Armenia has recorded 92 laboratory-confirmed cases of West Nile fever, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention under the Ministry of Health./pp
As of August 23, the number of infected individuals was 75, with one death reported at that time./pp
West Nile fever is an acute viral disease transmitted by Culex mosquitoes. The incubation period typically lasts 2-6 days, but it can extend up to 14 days. Symptoms include headache, muscle pain, general weakness, fever, nausea, and vomiting./pp
