Armenia to host 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship

YEREVAN, September 27, /ARKA/. Armenia will host the Ice Hockey World Championship in 2025, the Armenian ice hockey team reported on Instagram./pp “On September 26, the International Ice Hockey Federation congress was held in Greece, where it was decided to hold the IV Division World Championship in Yerevan,” the statement said./pp

The tournament will also feature teams from Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, Indonesia and Uzbekistan. The World Cup will be held from April 13 to 19./pp

Recently, the Deputy Secretary General of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Hannes Ederer visited Yerevan to get acquainted with the conditions and infrastructure. He visited the K. Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, the Yerevan Figure Skating and Hockey Sports School, and the Gazprom Armenia Educational and Sports Complex. -0-/p
