Watch: First Trailer For Richard Linklater's 'Dazed and Confused' Spiritual Sequel 'Everybody Wants Some'
Can Richard Linklater do for the '80s what he did for the '70s with "Dazed and Confused"? He's gonna try with "Everybody Wants Some," his long-developing "spiritual sequel" to 'Dazed,' one that seems to follow its predecessors in broad strokes, with a new gang of kids, a new era, new music, but the same sense of transition. Only this time, instead of high school, audiences will be headed to college.
Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Anthony Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Glen Powell and Wyatt Russell make up the ensemble cast, with the story revolving around a group of college baseball players as they navigate their way through unsupervised young adulthood. But the tagline perhaps says it best: "Here For A Good Time, Not A Long Time."
"Everybody Wants Some" will premiere at SXSW before opening in cinemas on April 15, 2016. Watch below.
