Referee Dean could have taken Mata character into account - Man Utd boss LVG

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata received two yellow cards in the space of a few minutes as his side lost 1-0 at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

The Spaniard was given his marching orders for the first time in his career for two avoidable bookings and although manager Louis van Gaal admitted one was stupid, he did indicate that referee Mike Dean could have taken into account his sublime disciplinary record prior coproducing a second yellow and subsequent red.
