Missing pharmacist’s bound body found

A pharmacist whose family had reported him missing last week was found shot dead near Pietermaritzburg, with his hands and feet bound.

Durban - A pharmacist whose hands and feet were bound with duct tape was found shot dead on the Lynnfield Park off-ramp of the N3 near Pietermaritzburg on Monday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

Police spokesman Thulani Zwane said the body of Morgan Naidoo had been found on the off-ramp shortly before 6am.

Morgan had sustained a number of gunshot wounds to his body. Police have opened a case of murder.

Zwane said that Naidoo’s family had lodged a missing persons report with the Alexandra Road police station in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

Zwane said the motive for the murder was not immediately known.
