Retail sales hold up in February after strong bounce in previous month, but fashion stores suffer as bad weather hits sales

A monthly 0.4% drop in retail sales was better than the 0.7% decline analysts had expected, and on an annualised basis sales were actually 3.8 per cent higher, according to the ONS data.
