Timothy Ash: Poroshenko wears down opposition in promoting Groysman as prime minister

President Petro Poroshenko and Verkhovna Rada speaker Volodymyr Groysman have worn the opposition down over time - it's been clear that Groysman as prime minister to replace Arseniy Yatsenyuk has been Poroshenko's preferred option for some time, and the game plan has been to sideline prospects of a technocratic government probably as that could be difficult to manage from the presidency and it might go to places which could be uncomfortable - e.g. rule of law.
