Merdinyan: Armenians are infinitely strong on battlefield

All Armenians unite these difficult days. Athletes too try to show their support and send encouraging words to Armenian soldiers who defend the peace of their country at the borders.

European silver and World bronze medalist, gymnast Harutyun Merdinyan told Mediamax Sport that he admires the courage of Armenian soldiers.

“I am proud and happy that we have such soldiers. I wish them great strength and caution to continue their work with the same spirit. Let them serve with no trouble and come back home. I stand by our soldiers and I’m ready to join them if necessary,” said Merdinyan.

He is convinced that Armenian people are twice as strong on a battlefield as they are in sports: “My brother is a soldier too and does his duty, and  have friends in Army.”
