Total volume of cargo transportation in February grew by 55.4% from year before to over 1.1 million tons
YEREVAN, April 16. /ARKA/. The total volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in February 2016 grew by 55.4% from the year before to over 1.1 million tons, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to official data, motor transport accounted for 62.7% or 691,800 tons of the total cargo, railway transport accounted for 22.8%, or 250,800 tons, pipelines - for about 14.5% or 159,800 tons and the air transport - for 0.09% or about 1 tons.
According to statistical data, the turnover of goods in the reporting period amounted to 356.8 million tons-km, a decrease of 5.7% compared to February 2015. ($ 1 - 482.36 drams). -0-
