Woman gunned down in front of husband
Eastern Cape police are on the hunt for two suspects who shot dead a woman in the presence of her husband.
|||King William’s Town – Eastern Cape police are on the hunt for two suspects who shot dead a woman in the presence of her husband, Willovale police said on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Captain Jackson Manatha said “police are investigating a case of murder after a 56-year-old woman was shot dead on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at about 11:30pm”.
“The deceased was with her husband when she was murdered,” he said.
The woman’s identity would not be released until her family had been informed.
The murder occurred at Nquba Location, Mahasana Village, in Willowvale and Manatha said “two suspects are alleged to have committed the crime”.
He said the women’s cellphone was stolen.
No arrests have been made yet and Manatha appealed to people who may have information on the murder to contact Willowvale Police at 047 499 6200.
