Immigrants to Secure Norway's Population Growth as Rural Areas Become Empty

Like other developed countries, Norway has had rather moderate population growth over the past few decades. However, immigration may give the ageing Norwegian population a powerful boost, as the flow of immigrants is expected to double to 1.4 million in 20 years' time, increasing the total population to 6 million.
