Production of Armenian brandy grows by 56.4 percent in five months
YEREVAN, June 30. / ARKA /. Production of brandy in Armenia in January-May 2016 increased by 56.4% from the year before to a little over 6.8 million liters, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
Wine production is said to have increased by 11.1% to about 2.5 million liters; production of whiskey surged by 2.5 times to 730,700 liters and that of champagne grew by 8.5% to 155,200 liters.
Production of vodka meantime declined by 13% to about 3.4 million liters and production of beer fell by 11.8% to about 6.3 million liters. Production of soft drinks shrank by 17.3% to about 20. 8 million liters. - 0--
