Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma has arrived to a rousing welcome at the fully packed Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg.

Hundreds of ANC supporters however remain outside the stadium as police and authorities refuse them entry fearing there was not enough space for everyone.

Many people have been told to go to the nearby Johannesburg Stadium, which has been allocated as an overflow area.

But there is a jovial mood all round as the ANC concludes its local government election campaign.
