Jozi cold spell makes way for sunny skies
Clear, sunny skies are predicted to follow the cold front and hailstorms that chilled Gauteng last week.
|||Johannesburg - Clear, sunny skies are predicted to follow the cold front and hailstorms that chilled Gauteng last week.
The SA Weather Service said: “Weather conditions will be fine in Gauteng this week; we don't expect rain or any extreme weather conditions.”
Forecaster Christina Thaele said, however, that some fog was expected south-east of Joburg tomorrow (Tuesday), while windy conditions were expected in parts of the province on Wednesday.
Thaele said maximum temperatures this week were expected to range from the high teens to the low twenties in spite of a cold front expected to sweep over some parts of the country from Tuesday night.
Thaele told The Star that parts of the Western Cape and Northern Cape would be hit first with “cold, wet and windy” weather conditions which would then spread to the Eastern Cape and the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal by Wednesday.
The cold front might cause cold weather conditions on Thursday morning in Gauteng but the clouds are expected to clear during the course of the day, according to the weather service.
