Turkish Prosecutors Crackdown On Gulen Movement, Bring Indictment Against Leader

Turkish prosecutors are coming down hard on U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, whom Turkey accuses of masterminding July’s failed coup by demanding he be sentenced with two life sentences plus 1,900 years in prison, the Anadolu Agency reported Tuesday. Following a year-long investigation into his movement’s financial dealings, prosecutors in the city of Usak filed a 2,500-page indictment that was accepted by the court, The Associated Press reported.
