Russia: Striking Syria From Iranian Bases Is Not A UN Sanctions Violation

Russia’s foreign minister Wednesday rejected allegations the country’s use of Iranian military bases for airstrikes in Syria violates UN sanctions on Iran, The Associated Press reported. Russia launched strikes from near the Iranian city of Hamedan and struck target in three provinces in northern and eastern Syria Tuesday, the report said.
