‘Habitable Zone’: Newly Discovered Planet May Be Home to Life, Astronomers Say

Using ESO telescopes, astronomers have found evidence of a planet orbiting Proxima Centauri, the closest star to Earth. The new planet, currently called Proxima b, is roughly the size of Earth, and is only about 4.2 light years from our solar system.
