Money stock in Armenia grows 1.7% to AMD 2 027.5 billion in October
Money stock in Armenia amounted to AMD 2 027.5 billion in late October after growing 1.7% over the month, the National Statistical Service reports referring to the central bank’s preliminary figures.
Cash outside the banking sector amounted to about AMD 356 billion in late October against about AMD 354.7 billion in late September and demand deposits in drams totaled AMD 222.7 billion against AMD 221.7 billion.
Time deposits totaled AMD 401.6 billion against AMD 384.2 billion respectively, and deposits in foreign currencies totaled AMD 1 046.2 billion against AMD 1 032.4 billion.
The country’s money multiplier stood at 2.28 in late October after rising 0.07 percentage points since late September. ($1- AMD 480.11). --0----
