Armenia`s ministry of education reveals number of free vacancies in  vocational schools

ArmInfo.For 2024-2025 The state allocated 6,064 free places for training in secondary educational institutions, and 3,312 places under the primary vocational (trade) education program. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, referring to the decision of the RA government.

In particular, free places were provided to 75 secondary institutions  in 116 specialties, and 55 educational institutions of primary  vocational education in 45 specialties.

The decision also determined a list of professions that are priority  for the state, the choice of which will provide a high scholarship.  In particular, we are talking about professions in agriculture,  construction, industry, as well as professions within these  industries, for which state-funded or free places are not added, and  for which there is a high demand on the labor market. In particular,  in the first year the scholarship will amount to 50 thousand drams,  and in subsequent academic years it will depend on academic  performance

Yesterday the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of  Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan expressed concern that according to the  preliminary results of entrance exams to universities in the country,  6,300 paid and 271 free places remained vacant.

This, she said, meant that the planning and allocation of seats was  not done correctly from the start.
