Armenia`s Deputy PM signs decision on visa liberalization with  EU

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan has signed a decision on the coordination of the Armenian Government's actions on visa liberalization with the European Union (EU), as stated in the government's decision on October 24.  According to the information, the decision was made within the framework of the Interdepartmental Commission implementing the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.  "In accordance with the document, a working group will be established to develop and implement an action plan for a visa dialogue with the EU and the specific members of the group will be determined," the decision says.

According to the decision points, a working group will be formed under the interdepartmental committee that coordinates measures to ensure the implementation of the agreement between Armenia and the EU.  The main objective of the group will be to coordinate the necessary commitments and actions of the Government of Armenia towards the liberalization of the visa regime. The coordinator of the working group has been tasked with submitting a schedule for the implementation of the specified goals to Mher Grigoryan by November 15 of this year.
