Cigarettes smuggling prevented in Armenia
ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia has prevented an attempt to import a batch of cigarettes without excise markings, the press service of the department reports.
The other day, SRC employees received operational information that in the area of the Agarak customs checkpoint, in the area intended for passenger cars, near the state border, there was a large quantity of tobacco products.
When implementing the information received, operatives found 29 boxes of cigarettes without excise markings - 14.5 thousand boxes of VAN>,
It was established that the found batch of cigarettes possibly belongs to RA citizen A.A. The latter transported the aforementioned cigarettes from Iran to Armenia by truck. He has already made a corresponding statement.
Based on the fact, a protocol on violation of customs regulations was drawn up and transferred to the legal department of the State Revenue Committee to ensure further progress.
