Yankees RHP Luis Gil exits start due to back tightness

New York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Gil was lifted from Tuesday's game against the visiting Cleveland Guardians in the fourth inning because of low back tightness.

Gil was later examined by David Trofa, the team's orthopedic doctor, the Yankees announced. Gil will be reassessed again Wednesday, but no imaging was scheduled.
