Leeds Rhinos • Arthur In

Correct about the Leigh game - our defence was too passive, and our attack was a mess. We won but our structural problems were there throughout the game. I don't think getting into the play offs matters as much as seeing performances fundamentally improve.

Just on the Origin, its a bit daft to compare to SL. The NRL is a long way ahead, but Origin is almost played under different rules to normal NRL games. Its much higher intensity, and if players tried to play that way every week they'd be injured or suspended for long periods. Читать дальше...

Never mind the game, what happened to our big screen?

More than likely a rented one. My guess is they might not buy one until they truly know they are back in superleague.

Pure speculation.
Luke Yates leaves. Opens up quota spot.
Oli Russell not getting picked. Signed for Wakey next season.
Lachlan Lam being touted around clubs by Leigh last two weeks.
Who knows.....

Would be exactly the kind of signing we need. Add a quality hooker , and pacy support player fullback and we would be in business.

Wigan Warriors • Re: Saints (h)

Injuries to French and Field have ensured the club have had to find suitable players to stand in for them.
Looks like Farrimond and Eckersley are those players.
Eckersley was the difference between us and Saints and looks like he'll keep the fb slot until Field returns.
When Jai does return perhaps he'll go to 6 with Farrimond being stood down. He's only 18 and perhaps by then will have done enough first team games and will need a rest.
With most people in the sport thinking French and... Читать дальше...

Just on that middle paragraph, it depends on where Salford are potentially strengthening and contact length.

We've taken King off their hands. They might be signing a 13 or 9 in a multi year deal when we have players signed up in those positions for next year. It's not as simple as Salford are after player X so we should be in for them.

Nope it’s not always that simple but I’m interested to see what they have up their sleeve with this. That said... Читать дальше...

Genuinely curious to see what Arthur can get out of the forwards (who are now missing three middles) on Saturday and for the rest of the year. Worth remembering that we were getting beaten in the pack for a long, long time before Smith's arrival, and his inititially successful approach was born out the need to work around that weakness. Just hoping there is the same level of positivity around the coach at five on Saturday, because I think we're really up against it. Читать дальше...
