Four New State-of-the-Art Skateparks To Be Built in NYC

The Skatepark Project is thrilled to announce our partnership with the City of New York to develop four major state-of-the-art skateparks in Brooklyn and the Bronx. With support from the NYC Mayor’s Office, City Council, Borough Presidents, the Department of Parks & Recreation, the Economic Development Corporation, dedicated community advocates, and countless others, these skateparks are being fast-tracked for completion to open up much-needed skate spaces in the outer boroughs of NYC.

In areas that have historically lacked access to high-quality public recreational spaces, these skateparks will serve as community hubs for physical activity and social interaction for millions of local residents and visitors alike. Read more about this historic partnership and the individual communities benefiting from these new parks in this New York Daily News article.

SUPPORT SKATEPARKS

In these early stages of the skatepark development process, we don’t have photos of these parks to share yet. However, as can be seen in photos from other New York skateparks we’ve helped to support, we remain inspired by the rich skateboarding culture alive in these communities. Stay tuned for more updates and be sure to follow us on social media for progress on these new parks and all the others we’re working to support across the nation!
