The form of the other teams screwed us. Sheffield Wednesday winning their last 3 and going 6 unbeaten.... Even with that, if they'd brought Rowett in a couple of games earlier, I still think we'd have picked up enough points to stay up. The two games before he joined were home to Watford and home to Boro - the exact sort of games Rowett would have probably achieved a 0-0 win in.
The results the other teams got meant that draws weren't enough and we had to win and obviously in that situation, no, Rowett is definitely not the right person for the job. I'm not sure who we could have brought in on a short-term deal who would have got us winning consistently though.
Either way, it's pointless talking about it now. Rowett came in, showed us all that he hasn't changed in any way since he last managed us and now if Mowbray can't come back, we'll need someone to do what Rowett he's not capable of.
