These fake headlines are the death knell of the Birmingham Mail and all those sites that rely on regular clicks from a defined (local) audience. Once trust is lost..

It’s not a fake headline though, it’s an opinion piece on what they think would be the best ending to the transfer window - the dream ending as listed in the headline. It’s a bit click bait but it’s not fake.

I'd argue that it's not clear and could easily be read that these things have happened and dream is used as an adjective.

They're arseholes

Indeed... that's exactly what they want the reader to think.

Their real story headline should be:
