Idaho: Governor Signs Important Self-Defense Legislation into Law

Governor Brad Little signed important self-defense legislation, House Bill 206, into law.  House Bill 206 would lower the age of Idaho’s permitless carry laws from 21 to 18.  This important legislation would allow those adults aged 18 and older who are legally allowed to carry a firearm for self-defense, to do so within city limits without having to pay fees and obtain a government-issued license to do so.  Current law allows permitless concealed carry by those 18 years and above outside of the city limits.

2nd Amend  Sanctuary Cities

Now, these 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Cities -or counties to be more specific, are passing their own resolutions to combat state or city government laws deemed restrictive by locals to 2nd Amendment rights, Fox 17 local and Washington Times report.

states where such counties are passing laws include New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Washington, North Carolina, and Nevada.

And the not so good news:

California: Anti-Gun Bills Continue to Move Forward

This week, the Assembly and Senate Public Safety Committee and Assembly Appropriations Committee all heard several firearm-related bills. Assembly Bill 1297 allowing for increased fees for concealed carry permits and AB 893 banning gun shows at the Del Mar Fairgrounds are both eligible for votes on the Assembly floor. Hawaii: Anti-Gun Bills Pass Committee, Age Restriction Bill Eligible for a Floor Vote

Last week, the Hawaii state House Committee on Judiciary passed anti-gun bills Senate Bill 600 and Senate Bill 1466.  Both bills are now eligible for the floor and SB 600 could receive a vote as early as tomorrow.  Additionally, the Senate Committee on Judiciary passed HB 720, which will also be eligible for a floor vote.  Please contact your state Representative and urge them to oppose SB 600 and SB 1466.  Click the “Take Action” button below to contact your state Representative.
