THE BATPAK BY ARNOLD SPIES
THE BATPAK BY ARNOLD SPIES
Arnold Spies, a semi-disabled paratrooper, has not allowed his injuries to disadvantage him or hold him back. Instead, it has merely motivated him to achieve new heights.
The idea of creating an original bag that would be of great emotional and personal value to current and ex-paratroopers crystallised after he bought several redundant TU32 parachute outer packs that were destined to be destroyed. Along with that batch were also redundant harnesses that he used in creating his paratroopers backpack/bag (BatPak) that could be used and worn as a backpack to store valuables in when the owner was out and about.
He subsequently sourced, and digitised the original Paratrooper insignia and logos to include on the BatPak. The insignia is professionally embroidered onto the BatPak. A buyer can also customise the embroidery to suit his wishes. This can include his name, force number, 1 Para Bn or 44 Para Bde’s insignia, parachute wings, intake, rank, operations partaken in, etc.
He also designed and now manufactures Bomber jackets in all sizes (even for kids 2-3 and 4-5 years old) from original Dakron material, also from redundant TU32 parachutes.
In addition, Arnold can supply and embroider custom logos on corporate clothing to any industry.
He operates from his home-office in Eldoraigne, Pretoria can be contacted on 076 434 7579 for a price list and/or quotation.
