U.S. Air Force veteran, a clerk in a Bay Area market shot and killed a robbery suspect threatening his life

A convenience store clerk shot and killed an armed robber who assaulted and pistol whipped him during a violent robbery Sunday night in Bay Point, San Francisco Chronicle reported

Kamal Sandhu, owner of Kam’s Market on Port Chicago Highway, said two men entered the store around 11 p.m. with the intention of robbing the place. One of the men pistol-whipped a cashier and held the employee at gunpoint while rifling through the cash register.

Mark Kasprowicz, the clerk was in survival mode after being pistol whipped by one of the two masked intruders. He grabbed for a gun in a drawer and shot one of the robbers dead. Kasprowicz told KPIX he fired one shot as the suspects sprint out of the store. The attacker made it just block from the shop before he collapsed and died. His accomplice is still at large, San Francisco CBS local news reported.
